Bails

Important! Read before using our customize it service for chain bails.

Many pendants come with an unsoldered jump ring for hanging on a chain. Factory supplied jump rings are usually too small for many chains and/or being unsoldered may open up risking loss of your pendant. We offer chain loop options for many pendant medals. This is an up front shop service that will save you time and money later.

This service is best suited for solid medals that only have a simple un-soldered jump ring for a chain such as many of the solid 14k gold and sterling silver medals do.

Please note. The following pendant medals cannot use this service due to the high heat of brazing a chain bail on.
Blue-fired medals.
Enameled medals.
Hollow medals.
Porcelain medals.
Plated/gold filled medals.
Rose gold or tri color gold medals.

Any solid gold or sterling silver medals that already have a flared bail, such as 14k white gold medals and 18k medals, can be upgraded but doing so voids the factory return. It is usually wiser to match them with a chain that fits the factory bail.
